Everyone gets the same scheduled discovery. The day changes at 2 a.m. in New York; the next scheduled discovery's time is shown in your local time. Each discovery has its own permanent link, so something sent by a friend stays the same.
If there isn't a new discovery scheduled, we'll say so and offer our latest one to revisit.
Without an account, keeps stay in this browser. Sign in with the same email on another device to see your account collection. If a save hasn't reached your account, we mark it as pending and offer a retry. Clearing browser data removes guest keeps and pending saves.
Check the email address and your spam folder. Codes can take a moment to arrive. Use “request a new code” on the sign-in page if needed, and enter the newest code in the same window. Wait at least a minute between requests.
To get daily emails, choose “Email me new discoveries” after the story and confirm your email code. You can also turn them on in Your account. Emails arrive around 7 a.m. New York time when a new discovery is scheduled. Unsubscribe from any email, or turn them off in your account.

You can read and share discoveries without an account. Guest keeps are stored in your browser. A free account stores your email address, sign-in information, and the IDs and saved dates of the discoveries you keep, so your collection can follow you across devices.
Supabase provides account and collection storage. Resend delivers the sign-in codes you request and any daily reminders you explicitly opt into. We store your reminder choice, consent date, and delivery records to avoid duplicates and honor unsubscribe requests. Signing in through the collection or account page does not subscribe you. Choosing “Email me new discoveries”, or selecting the daily-email option when joining, and confirming your email explicitly requests a daily subscription and a free account. Joining without that choice leaves your existing email preferences unchanged. Your browser stores your sign-in session and any saves still waiting to reach your account; the email-code screen temporarily remembers your email address in that tab.
Vercel hosts the site. Our service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect it, such as requests and network information. Optional usage measurement is not enabled in this preview.
Your browser’s preferred language is grouped as English, French, Spanish, German, other or unknown, to help us decide which languages to add. This does not change your chosen language.
We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Reading time is an estimate that pauses in a hidden or idle tab. We remember only the last visit date for a broad return signal, and a short-lived source label for acquisition counts. We do not sell this measurement data or use it for advertising profiles.
When you request a sign-in or confirmation email, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser to help prevent automated abuse. Supabase verifies the result before sending the email. This security check is separate from optional visit measurement.
Embedded YouTube and Vimeo players connect to those providers when a discovery loads. They may use their own cookies or collect information under their policies. Opening a source or onward link takes you to that site's privacy practices.

You can remove individual keeps from your collection. From Your account, you can permanently delete your active account and its saved collection and reminder settings. Signing out alone leaves your account collection intact. You can clear guest keeps by removing this site's browser data.
Deleting an account does not immediately erase copies in existing backups or operational/security logs; those follow our providers' retention settings. If a deletion request can't be confirmed, we tell you rather than claiming it succeeded.
